Accountant’s Assistant

Fixed term maternity cover (6-8 months)


We are looking to hire an Account Assistant to join our Accounts team as maternity cover for 6-8 months. You will help in the preparation of monthly accounts, daily admin and liaising with our customer base.

Working as part of a very busy IT Services company, you will have the opportunity to develop an integral understanding of accounting in the IT sector.

This position as Account Assistant is ideal for you if you’re someone looking to build on their experience as an Accountant with ability to be highly organised, motivated and work off your own initiative.

You’ll be responsible for:


* Day to day monitoring and posting of receipts/payments.

* Processing credit card transactions and statements.

* Monthly reconciliations of accounts.

Accounts Payable/Receivable

* Generating invoices and credit notes.

* Monitoring and managing debtors/creditors to ensure credit limits are maintained.


* Ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.


You’ll be or have:

* Highly organised individual with ability to prioritise

* Self-motivated with an ability to work on own initiative

* Minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar with proficiency in posting payments/receipts and bank reconciliations

* Experience with an accounts software package(Knowledge of SAP an advantage)
