Typetec is looking to identify and hire a highly motivated and organised Helpdesk Administrator.


Reporting to the Service Delivery Lead, the Helpdesk Administrator works within the Support Department and is the first point of contact for our customers. This is an important role requiring accuracy of information recorded, and timely response to requests from customers and staff.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Logging reported support calls & incidents via telephone, email and client portal on the company Helpdesk system
  • Build and develop effective, professional rapport with client contacts
  • Update and maintain the company Helpdesk system with client information, status, contact details and any other additional details as required
  • Admin the Service Departments Dispatcher / Calendar – Schedule all onsite preventative maintenance visits, installations and other calls across the engineering team
  • Logistics responsibilities to organize collections of devices for repair from clients and return of same
  • Answer calls from the helpdesk phone in timely & professional manner
  • Any other reasonable requests as required by the business

The candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in fast paced environment handling inbound calls
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent written & spoken English
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
  • Experience in the IT industry a distinct advantage
  • The ability to work as part of a team but as required the ability to take ownership and be accountable for specific areas of work
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite with strong Excel skills
