Have Office 365? it could help you become GDPR compliant.
With the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May, the requirement on organisations to have robust compliance tools is essential. To help this Microsoft have introduced a new application within the Office 365 and Microsoft Cloud stack called Compliance Manager.
You’ll find the application within your Office 365 email applications which is available free on Business and Enterprise plans. The app allows organisations to assess and manage their compliance requirements all from a single online portal.
Microsoft’s Compliance Manager conducts real-time assessments of risk and benchmarks them against data protection regulations; giving feedback, recommendations and guidance on actions which need to be taken.
At a top-level compliance is essential, but the key is the protection of other sensitive and personal data. Microsoft information protection solutions utilises machine learning technologies to label and classify data allowing proper governance and protection of the most sensitive – across all applications and devices.
This machine learning technology is leverage by Microsoft to identify and locate personal data; one of the key premises to GDPR – through Content Search one of Office 365’s eDiscovery tools. This makes the process of providing relevant data easier, quicker and above all in compliance.
If you want to begin your GDPR journey right we recommend the Microsoft stack of Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility and Security (EMS). Which allows organisations the ability to leverage the power of the cloud and automation to assess and manage compliance risk while protecting data.
